Kerstin Wortmann is head of the division “Environment and Food Systems” at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment. She joined the ministry in 2009 and has worked on a number of national and international processes since, ranging from the UN Conference on Sustainable Development “Rio plus 20” to the 23rd Climate Conference in Bonn. Most recently, she was in charge of preparing the Climate Cabinet and the implementation of the federal climate protection program. Before joining the ministry, she gained international experience working for a range of UN organisations.
